Now that we have such a fast Minecart Loader we definitely need something better than a standard unloader, because what’s the point of putting in 4 items at the time if we only get 1 out on the other side? That’s why I had to come up with something like this.
To suck out 4 Items at once from a storage Minecart you have to position it right in the middle of 4 hoppers and the only way I could come up with, is to push it in place with pistons. I tried to keep it fairly small and after a while of tinkering I’ve got it to work! The Minecart enters from the top and while it’s flying off the rail and bumps into a fence post in front of it, a piston pushes it against another fence post next to it and it falls down into the perfect position. To detect when the cart is empty again I read out the signal from all 4 hoppers underneath it and if there are no more items in the hoppers it sends a short pulse to the 2 pistons on the side which push out a powered rail and a full block right on top of the hoppers. The Minecart snaps right onto the rail and takes off right back out where it came in from.
This is definitely a little bit more complicated and resource heavy than I wanted it to be so you should really check out my ultra small version of this!
